Cell Phone Guidelines
Our policy requires students to keep all wireless communication devices off and in their lockers for the duration of the school day. This includes cell phones, earbuds, smart watches and other wireless devices.
As a reminder, here is our policy at Plaza.
1st occurrence - Staff members will turn the wireless communication device into the office for student pick up at the end of the day. Office staff will send email to parent or guardian.
2nd occurrence - Staff members will turn the wireless communication device into the office for student pick up at the end of the day. Administrator will make a phone call home to the parent or guardian.
All other occurrences - Staff members will turn the wireless communication device into the office for a parent or guardian to pick up. Office staff will contact parent or guardian. Student will serve lunch intervention or an after school intervention depending on the number of continued occurrences.

Student Citizenship
• All students begin each quarter with their citizenship.
• Students with citizenship will be eligible for celebrations throughout the year and PTSA functions.
• Students with their citizenship can attend sports or club games without a parent or guardian.

Water Bottles
Students may drink water in the school building. All other beverages will be disposed of. Students may only drink water from a water bottle. Water fountains will not be available; however there are water bottle refueling stations available.
Tardy Guidelines
Students are expected to be on time to school and to each class. The following protocol will be followed for tardies to class.
Tardy 1: verbal warning from teacher
Tardy 2: verbal warning from teacher
Tardy 3: parent or guardian contact
Tardy 4: conference with counselor
Tardy 5: conference with AP; after school intervention; loss of pass privileges
Tardy 6: conference with AP; after school intervention; loss of citizenship
Locker Guidelines
All students will be issued a locker and a lock to keep materials and personal property safe. Students should keep their lockers locked and should not share their combinations or lockers with others. Students may not switch their lockers with other students. There is a $4 lock fee that can be paid to the student's 1st period teacher. Personal locks are not allowed.
Students should take backpacks to their lockers when they arrive at school and then report to their first period class. Backpacks are not allowed in the cafeteria, media center, or classrooms.
